I installed File Storage Companion on my desktop Mac but then couldnt find "File Storage" on my iPads version of the App Store. However, I did find it through iTunes and purchased it there. It appeared right away on my tethered iPad. I launched File Storage on the iPad, enabled WiFi within the app (there is a prompt), and the device was instantly recognized on my desktop Mac. File transfer was instantaneous. However, WiFi Sharing had to be terminated on the iPad before I could access the Home directory and see the file listed there.

Not Ready for Prime Time

Needs work, crashes at times, files are not transferred to my iPhone 4S. I know its free, but dont waste your time or realestate on your device.

It didnt work so far! Contacted customer support... Well see what happens. BTW, its free for your computer, but it will cost you $1.99 for your IOS device. and you need it both places.

I got the app since it allows you to transfer files back and forth from MacBook/iMac to iOS devices. Got the app for my MacBook Pro and it was free, but then I wanted to install for my iPad since Im a full time student and thought that it would be great. WRONG! You have to pay to get it on other devices! BOO! Why do I have to pay for the same app if all of my devices are on the same iTunes account? This is just a marketing ploy to get you to install free for one then pay for more. Sorry but I think I will be uninstalling this and using dropbox! At least its free for all devices!

Very frustrating. My Mac sees my iPad but iPad does not, apparently, see my Mac. I have worked my way through their troubleshooting process, and have now contacted Support. I will update if this is my error.

How do you get a refund??? Frustrating incompatibilities...

A waste of valuable time instead of a time saver! Stay away from this until they kill ALL the bugs, not just a few.
